Leather Barber Aprons

Behind the chair you need your tools to hand and your clothes kept clean, and a leather barber apron does both while looking sharp. Ours are cut from black cowhide with brass hardware, a zippered chest pocket and dedicated room for clippers, combs and scissors. We've made leather barber aprons for US barbers, hairstylists and colorists since 2017.
Tools where you need them
The Clipbound has a horizontal zippered chest pocket for your phone and two spacious hip compartments for clippers, razors and combs. The Tivren hairdresser apron keeps a single chest pocket and a double-section lower pocket for scissors and combs. Brass hook and brass-buckle straps hold the fit, so nothing shifts mid-cut. Every product page lists the exact pockets, colour and sizing with real customer reviews.

Sharp and easy to keep clean
Black cowhide with contrast stitching looks the part in a serious chair, and leather earns its keep on the cleaning side too. It sheds cut hair, wipes clean with a damp cloth, and resists water, product and the hair dyes and chemicals that ruin a cloth cape. It is water and stain resistant rather than fully waterproof, so wipe spills promptly. This is barber apron leather that still looks good at the end of a full book.

Built to last
These are thick cowhide aprons with reinforced edges and detailed stitching, not a flimsy cape. The brass hardware holds, and the leather softens and picks up a patina the more you wear it. Buy one good leather cutting apron and it'll outlast a drawer of disposable ones.
How to choose a leather barber apron
What to look for before you buy.
- Pockets. A zippered chest pocket plus compartments for clippers, combs and scissors.
- Hardware. Solid brass hooks or buckles that hold their setting.
- Hide. Thick cowhide that sheds hair and wipes clean.
- Fit. Adjustable neck and waist straps you can set for a full day in the chair.
- Look. Black or brown with contrast stitching for a professional finish.

Leather or a poly cape?
A poly cape tears, stains and looks tired fast. A leather barber apron wipes clean, holds its shape and reads as professional in the chair, which is why stylists and colorists keep them for years. The same sharp, wipe-clean build is why bartenders like our leather bartender aprons, and front-of-house staff often choose our leather cooking aprons.
Caring for your barber apron
Brush off cut hair, wipe it down with a damp cloth and condition it now and then. That's all it takes to keep it sharp.
Barber apron questions
Is leather good for barbering?
Yes. A leather barber apron sheds cut hair, resists water and product, wipes clean and looks professional in the chair. It also lasts far longer than a cloth cape.
Does it resist hair dyes and chemicals?
It resists dyes, styling products and salon chemicals far better than fabric, and wipes clean. Spot-clean any colour promptly so nothing sets in.
Are there pockets for clippers and scissors?
Yes. A zippered chest pocket plus hip or lower compartments for clippers, razors, combs and scissors.
Does it suit hairstylists and colorists?
It does. It works as a hairdresser apron and a salon apron for stylists, colorists and barbers alike.
Do you offer engraving or custom colours?
Our aprons ship as shown on the product page; we don't currently offer engraving or made-to-order colours.
What sizes do you offer?
